Chairman Mao Memorial Hall (Renovation)

Built in memory of the founding leader Mao Zedong, Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall is located in Tiananmen Square, south of the Monument to the People's Heroes, on the site of the former China Gate. On November 24, 1976, in accordance with the resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the laying of the foundation ceremony of Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall was held in Tiananmen Square.

Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall was inaugurated on September 9, 1977 and opened to the public, covering an area of more than 57,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 28,000 square meters. The main body is square, outside there are 44 Fujian yellow granite built ming column, the column is equipped with Foshan Stone Bay flower trim ceramic plate, the whole body Qingdao granite veneer. The roof has two layers of glass eaves, with sunflower embossed flowers among them. The base has two layers of platform, the Taiwan gang all with the Sichuan Dadu River next to the crimson granite, surrounded by the Han Baiyu Wan young flower ornament railings.
